BeyondTranslate itself does not collect any personal data. The application runs locally on your device and does not send telemetry, usage statistics, or personally identifiable information to any server operated by the BeyondTranslate project.
The only data that leaves your device is the text or images you explicitly choose to send to configured third-party translation, OCR, or dictionary service providers. These providers may process your content in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Third-party services
BeyondTranslate allows you to configure third-party services for translation, OCR, and dictionary lookup. When you use these services, the text or images you submit are sent to the respective provider's servers for processing.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party services you configure. BeyondTranslate is not responsible for how these providers handle your data.
Data security
BeyondTranslate stores configuration data (such as API keys and language preferences) locally on your device. You are responsible for securing your device and API credentials.
We recommend using API keys with restricted permissions where possible, and regularly rotating your credentials.
